Michelin Agilis CrossClimate im Test

“Anyone tried Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tires on a Bolt? Following the info from I have picked up some used 15" Sonic wheels for winter use here in Maine. I can get Michelin Ice snow tires in an equivalent 15" size (to match the circumference of the stock tire/wheel) but not Cross Climate 2s. However, this Agilis is available in a near equivalent. It appears to be a heavier tire designed primarily for delivery vans Google AI suggests it has a slightly higher rolling resistance to the CC2s, which many report to have about a 10% hit on range - although any new tire will be less efficient than a well-worn one, so we should take that info with a grain of salt The Michelin Energy Saver tires are obviously more efficient, but also rated poor for use in snow. “Agilis cross climate (LT metric) Not a ton of information in regard to this tire, but so far my experience has been extremely positive. Great traction in the wet and light snow and fuel mileage seems to have improved. I plan to update this post as I put more miles on them. They don’t have the cool factor I concerned myself with as a younger man, but they seem to be an excellent tire. Read more”

“Agilis Crossclimate vs Agilis LTX as a summer tire for a pickup? Daily driver Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. I've got a set of winter tires that I run from Nov-Mar but I need to replace my summer tires. Mediterranean climate, so dry summers. 99% of my driving is city/highway, maybe 1-5 days per year on dry dirt roads. I'd like to go with the crossclimate since they're about $200 cheaper for the set. I guess the Defender LTX just got rebranded Agilis LTX. I know the Defender LTX is a very popular light truck tire. Y'all think I can get away with the crossclimate and save a couple hundred bucks? “Agilis CrossClimate all-weather cargo van tire So I had an electrician over to my house yesterday (in Michigan), and I saw his Ford Transit had the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate all-weather truck/van/cargo tire. I asked him how it was. He told me that the stock tires would get completely stuck even on plowed roads that had the tiniest bit of snow or ice left. But with the Agilis CrossClimate, he hadn't gotten stuck anymore. So I thought that was a cool story I would share. “Lapland - Tyre Advice - Michelin Agilis Crossclimate Grateful for the knowledge/experience of the good people of r/Finland . I ordinarily use studded tyres for my van, but planning a roadtrip down to Germany/France over the new year (so can't fit these). I've no experience with friction tyres on snow/ice, but have Michelin Agilis Crossclimate [ . These have the 3PMSF marking so I understand are technically legal in Finland for winter, but I'm not sure about safety/performance in Lapland (route being: Tornio, to Sweden and then down via Denmark.) Good to hear people's views, or if you've experience with these types of tyres in this environment? UPDATE: Really appreciate the comments and views put forward on this. By the debate it seems I’m not alone in being not clear about winter performance of a tyre rated 3PMSF but not a “true” Nordic friction tyre. It does not make economic sense to buy new winter friction tyres for a road trip. So thinking about packing the Michelins, driving the studded tyre and getting them swapped/stored in Denmark or South Sweden and then swapping back on return. A pain in ass, a waste of space but the least risky approach. If anyone’s done similar let me know your experience.”
