Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 vs Goodyear EfficientGrip — im Vergleich

“Hi there, I need to put new tyres on my f30 330d. I want to switch away from run flats. The tyres will be used all year round. I was veering towards the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 as recommended by this website (although I am open to other suggestions): ... However the snow performance seems to be lacking (not too surprising given they are a summer tyre) ... Therefore I was wondering about Michelin crossclimate instead: ... I live in a rural part of the south east so I get no more than two weeks of snow a year but face driving on un-gritted roads when it does snow. The rub here is that I'm compromising the cars performance for the rest of the year to make sure I'm OK for 2 weeks in winter! Any thoughts on which option would be best for somebody in my position? Sticking with Runflats, are these a good option: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 (225/40 R19 93Y) ROF XL *BMW [F] and is there any downsides to running 2 different brands? “GOODYEAR EfficientGrip Performance 205/55 R17 91V - reliability and resistance to damage question Hello guys! I'm driving Skoda Octavia. not a racer, just a usual 40yo man. I have a set of GOODYEAR EfficientGrip Performance 205/55 R17 91V on the car, and during the last 2 months I lost three tires, all the same way - pothole on the road, visibly small, front right wheel, instantly deflates, and a hole in tire not on tread but on the side - irreparable, new tire for 130eur, repeat again. Do you by chance know if it's the pattern for the model, or am I getting EXTREMELY unlucky? Can you maybe suggest some tire models and characteristics to look into to stop this from happening? I have only 2 out of 4 original tires left, so maybe it makes sense to change the entire set.”

“Ultra contact is average, never tried e-primacy but currently on primacy 5 and they aren't worth the price . My brother drives on Goodyear efficient grip performance 2 currently, and they are way better than ultra contact ( he used them last year, and better than my michelin), so honestly it would be a no brainer to go with Goodyear for me. BUT since you're driving a mazda 3, can't you find continental premium contact in this size ? They are really GOOD, I had them last year, you always have good grip, dry/wet, doesn't matter, that tire is very alive in corner, it enjoys being pushed in corners, only downside is that they wear faster than Goodyear, but I say it's well worth it.”
